Is Libby jury in session considering the case? |
|
Over firedoglake.com it says that court is finished for the day. Does that mean everyone went home and will start deliberations tomorrow or does it mean that the court proceedings are done and all that is left is the waiting on the jury?
I got the impression the jury isn't working today and if not, I was wondering why?

It's so clear he's guilty. I can't wait until they come back.

3. We all know he is guilty but we also know how fragile the jury |
|
system can be. OJ, Robert Blake. Seems like if you have enough money - and lord know Scooter isn't hurting due to lack of an adequate defense - you can get away with pretty much anything.
I want the WHOLE truth to come out but it is going to take a Scooter conviction for any hope of getting anything close to what Dead Eye Dick and The Cabal have been up to for the last six years. Scooter's guilt is just the tip of the iceberg as far as I'm concerned.
I'm also aware that this group will stop at nothing to keep the real shenanigans of this group secret. Scooter's pardon is a done deal as far as I'm concerned. Too many fortunes have been made, too many deaths have occurred since this group hit DC to leave any chance of him talking.
With all that said, I believe Scooter (as a true neocon - free market, yadda, yadda, yadda) will not be able to pass up the opportunity to make a buck with a tell all book once his pardon is in his back pocket. The Republics eat each other - it is what they do when things go bad.

4. It has to be a unanimous verdict. |
|
I just discovered that. Now I'm not as optimistic about a guilty verdict. And that might make deliberations more lengthy. One juror can spoil this. But what do I know? This whole thing has gone way over my head.

6. There are five charges ... |
|
... and they can fail to be unanimous on SOME charges while still finding him guilty (or not guilty) unanimously on other charges.
If they aren't unanimous on SOME charge, findings of guilt (or innocence) on other charges are still valid.

7. I'm still reading over at FDL. You are right on about that. |
|
And it looks like four out of five are "beyond any resonable" doubt.
I just can't wrap my brain around much of this. But from reading blog posts over there it appears that they have him nailed.
Besides, it isn't over yet. One down...

8. Also...a unanimous not guilty on all accounts is highly unlikely. |
|
Like everyone didn't already know that. But it does give me a warm feeling.

5. Some guy on Court TV said that the jury will deliberate from 9-5 |
|
Monday - Friday till they're done. They will not deliberate on the weekends. He seemed to think that it may take them a while to get through the massive amounts of information presented.
