Okay, okay, so... Hillary's "moment"...

Um.

Now, I could get pounded for this, but hey, I wouldn't be on this site if I didn't like the occasional dust-up.

What's going on in your weird brains, people? If this was a British debate everyone over here would register that "moment" as a decisive smack-down. She was bang on it! Mr I'll Give You Fucking Optimism and Mr Electable Teeth sat wittering somewhat pithily while she pointed out, very properly, that she actually walks the walk.

I expect this sort of spin from creepy republicans, not Democratic Underground...

I can see that there might be reasonable objections to Hillary, but that particular "moment" was not one of them, actually I was quite impressed. She has earned some of my respect back, albeit a *small amount...

6. Yeah, that's not really convincing me.

Maybe you need a slightly more expressive smilie? Like, one that represents... I don't know.

What ARE you saying, exactly?

2. It would have been far worse if she had said nothing...
She did fine. In fact, I thought they all did fine.

3. Here at DU, we have a tendency to overamplify pretty much everything.
Every small event in the campaign of a candidate we dislike is determined to be the end of the world.

Conversely, every small thing that our preferred candidate does is the best thing a political candidate has ever done in the history of the universe.

14. Yer not kiddin'.

I can see that someone might object to Hillary as a corporatist or as someone who voted for the Iraq War, but not on the grounds of that comment during that debate.

5. just so I understand you better...
which one's Mr. Fucking Optimism and Mr Electable Teeth?

Cuz they both fit that bill...

thanks for the lovely message.

Sounds like someone's having meltdown over Hillary slipping 10 points behind Obama, and it becoming kinda odds on that Barack is the favorite right now.

Really hateful comments about Senators Obama and Edwards.

11. Well, TBH, I don't mind who ends up in the WH so long as it isn't a Republican.

And, you're not wrong, I'm not particularly impressed with either Edwards or Obama. Still, I'm sure they both could do some good. I'm just slightly taken aback by the weirdness propagated by the anti-Hillary folk.

10. False Hope Hillary accentuated her negatives. Unfairly, of course, she has been painted by
the corporate media as cold and nasty. Seeming to act angry after falling behind just feeds the stereotype about her.

16. Some are hoping for a "Dean scream" moment from Hillary
so everything gets jumped on....there was a lot of chatter last night about it being posted online quickly and how it would destroy her.

17. It is getting so sickening with the head up Obama post that
it reminds you of the republican sites where they fight over who's gonna kiss bush's ass first. You used to be able to come to this site, learn what was going on, catch up on the news. And learn something informative about the candidates. THAT IS TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN OBAMA'S SUPPORTERS STARTED FLAMING AND SLURRING AND FLAMING AND POSTING HATE AND VILE ABOUT HER.

I started to make fun of him in any way I could to upset the Obama's but they didn't get the joke...hell he is a joke. But that's another story. He might take a few primaries, but I tell you he aint' gonna win.
