America will elect Al Sharpton before it will elect Hillary. My conservative gun nut father-in-law told me he likes Obama and might not bother voting in the election if he is the candidate (he will never vote democrat) but that he will vote against Hillary and actively campaign/volunteer against her. I think people underestimate just how much people hate her (even though it is completely irrational)

I've said before we assume we're going to win in 2008 at our own peril.
I don't subscribe to the belief that we have it "in the bag" or that the Republicans won't turn out just because their choice is a nutjob.
Now, to answer your question.
I'll say I should have worked harder. Just have bitten the bullet a bit more I could have made that trip to Colorado (or where ever it may be this year) to ring doorbells or hand out flyers or register voters. Maybe the outcome would have been different if I'd just done a little more.
I know this from experience. After all I've been through it before.
