Obama has agreed to go on the Bill O'LIElly show. I thought the Dems had agreed to boycott that
propaganda network? Ed Schultz just had an Obama supporter (works for campaign) call in who said Obama has accepted Bill O'LIElly's invitation to appear on his show.:grr: WTF?

Our Dems have got to stop appearing on that network. Doing so only legitimizes them. They are not worthy of our Democrat's presence! They LIE. They CHEAT. They steal. They are the WH's mouthpiece! They have a direct line to the cabal. WTF is Obama doing going on there?

Honestly, this shit pisses me off. Playing nice with people who can't wait to stab you in the back is STUPID.

8. That's not the point. The Dems have agreed to boycott that
useless RW propaganda network. Now Obama agrees to appear with Bill O'LIElly? No Dem should ever appear on that network. They HATE Democrats. Why is that so hard to understand? We always play nice and they NEVER do. I'm sick of it.

Did they sign something, or what was the means?

4. Dennis Kucinich and Viggo Mortenson were great on Hannity & Colmes the other day. Obama will be OK
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 01:04 PM by CottonBear
and he'll handle O'Lielly's BS just fine.

It's his decision to go on the show.

edit: Jesse Jackson was on Fox and Friends this AM and he was great. Even seated on the couch, He towered over Steve Douchey, idiot Brian and the blonde of the moment. He came across as an elder statesman and gave a very good analysis of the primary race thus far and the demographics of Democrats in SC.

28. I saw that little piece the other night with Kucinich & Mortenson
being interviewed by Hannity - Hannity had his ass handed to him!!

For those that missed it, it went down something like this...

Hannity: Now Viggo Mortenson, I know you're a big supporter of Dennis Kucinich...my kids love the Lord of the Rings movies, and I can forgive you for your politics!

VM: Oh, you don't have to do that - I certainly don't forgive you for yours!!!!

PWNED!!!!!!!

41. It was a thing of beauty!
Hannity is such an ass. "...I can forgive you for your politics!" What utter bullshit.

Viggo was totally deadpan too! He did not react emotionally at all to the insult (which is what Hannity wants the guests to do.)

11. Why would any Democrat appear on that network...EVER....for ANY reason?
It's a known FACT that Faux News HATES Democrats. O'LIElly may play kissy-face with Barack while he's on his show, but you can bet he'll stab him in the back the first chance he gets. Why Democrats set themselves up for such crap is beyond me.

Buy the movie "OutFoxed" if you don't believe me.

40. So, O'Reilly will ignore him otherwise?
O'Reilly do what he do regardless of whether Obama goes on or not. O'Reilly's audience is a little different than Rush's. Obama might be able to woo a few of them.

12. I know the format....
O'Reilly will be polite and respectable during the interview, but the rest of the week will be spent showing snippets while various "Fox contributors" appear on the show to cut his comments to ribbons.

O'Reilly will show clean hands, Dick Morris and Rev Jesse Peterson will get air time, and Factor fans will get the message they want.

I see no upside for Obama.

I refuse to have that network turned on in my house. I haven't watched it since the 2000 election theft. I will never watch it and the Democrats should avoid it like the plague.

I don't like them going on there. Just the same, I think both of them can handle it. Let's just hope they don't make a habit of it.

15. You're right, Fox is nothing but a repub propaganda outlet,
not a legitimate news channel, and there should be a total boycott of this station by the Democrats. To say that repubs csan be taught and we should appear on that channel misses the point, repubs can't be taught the truth. They know the truth, they just don't want to face it so they deal in lies and deception. There are plenty of other networks that Democrats can appear on to get the truth out, networks that will give Democrats something closer to a fair hearing.

16. It was in the footage of O'Lielly stalking him at that event.
And Obama said, yeah, we'll go on, after the primary. And Billo says, after the NH primary. Then Obama says, "after the primary," and he leaves. So it could be after the convention.

22. O'Reilly crashed an Obama event and man-handled one of his people.
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 01:49 PM by AtomicKitten
O'Reilly asked Obama to come on his show, rather insistently. Obama said he would come on his show after the primary. O'Reilly asked "NH primary?" Obama reiterated after the primary.

It was O'Reilly who wasn't playing nice, and it was Obama who tamped down a potentially volatile encounter.

Context is everything.

27. Context is everything? Agreeing to appear on the RW's propaganda network tamped down a potentially
volatile situation? How about just telling the police to throw his ass in jail? THAT would have been a better option, IMCPO.

I would much rather have him appear on these shows than run and hide and cower. If you can't face these people how can you face any Republican or some of the leaders across the world?

It doesn't do any good to be scared of these people. You don't run and hide from bullies, you stand up to them.
