Does anyone here have the latest issue of Mother Jones?

I'm supposed to be in this issue and i've heard from several people that there is a mention of the article about me on the front page. Does anyone have it? I haven't gotten a copy yet and am dying to see it, lol.

with a lot of articles...it is dated Feb. 20. I just did a hurried search and don't see anything, but I will check more.

I just realized I am not getting the magazine...just the email. But I have access to the stories. Better check on my subscription.

7. Cover story -- got the magazine today

The cover says: Almost Famous: The 16-year-old homeschooler whose antiwar videos are tearing up the blogosphere. You are at page 52, Ava and the article is entitled: "Are You There, George? It's Me, Ava. Meet the 16-year-old homeschooler whose antiwar video website gets 30,000 hits a day.

At page 52, there is a photo of you on your bed (white iron?) in tennis shoes (does your mom approve of tennis shows on that bedspread?) looking at what appears to be a textbook. Your nails are painted red. You have lovely reddish hair, and I think you are wearing a denim blue jeans outfit. Your left hand is in a cast. (Sorry. Hope you are feeling better. My arm was also in a cast not that long ago. I know how it feels.) Your pillows have stars (two pillows) and flowers (also two other pillows). You look like a very intelligent, very pretty young woman. Also very determined.

One crisp, sunny Saturday last fall, I found myself walking through the heart of downtown Montgomery, Alabama, heading toward the state Capitol. It was about a 10-minute walk, but I didn't encounter a single person. I could hear freight trains whizzing by the Alabama River, and did see evidence that a "You Know You're a Redneck When . . . " theme party was planned for later that night. But without weekday office workers, there were no pedestrians and very little traffic of any kind. A technicolor replica of the 1950s GMC bus that Rosa Park rode eerily circled the streets, which were otherwise as still as a diorama.

I was here for activism of a different age. I was going to attend a birthday party for Ava Lowery, a homeschooled teen activist who posts professional antiwar video shorts on her website, peacetakescourage.com, from her bedroom in a small town about an hour's drive from Montgomery. Ava, whose videos have a worldwide following thanks to the blogosphere, had decided to throw her Sweet Sixteen party on the steps of the Capitol to protest the war in Iraq.

to randi rhodes. she did an interview with scott ritter the other day (over the phone) and the following day someone emailed randi about putting it up on youtube.

i was thinking of your videos & how wonderful they always are.
