Carville, Brazile defend Hillary, fuss at Obama and Geffen on CNN
This is from the remarks Democratic fundraiser Geffen made about Hillary when he had a huge fundraiser for Obama.

I want to tell you that Carville was pathetic today. His face looked scrunched up, he kept squinting, and he was royally pissed at the David Geffen said about him and the Clintons.

GEFFEN: "Obama is inspirational, and he's not from the Bush royal family or the Clinton royal family. Americans are dying every day in Iraq. And I'm tired of hearing James Carville on television."

And Carville looked kind of whiny and said:

CARVILLE: I tell you what, Mr. Geffen. You can have my TV time. I'll take your money.

And Blitzer sums it up with Geffen's response to CNN:

BLITZER: Let just wrap up this strategy session with a statement that David Geffen issued. We invited him to come on the program. He declined. But this the is statement they released.

"Despite reports to the contrary, I am not the campaign finance chair and have no formal role in the Obama campaign, nor will I, other than to continue to offer my strongest possible personal support for his candidacy. My comments, which were quoted accurately by Maureen Dowd, reflect solely my personal beliefs regarding the Clintons. Thank you."

And Donna and James sort of fuss at Obama:

BRAZILE: Well, first of all, David Geffen, to his credit, has been a strong asset to the Democratic Party. He's raised so many dollars for important causes like AIDS. I don't want to in any way say anything negative about Mr. Geffen.

But clearly, Senator Obama needs to elevate this conversation and get back on the issues.

...."CARVILLE: Don't host a $1.3 million fundraiser at your house and give Maureen Dowd an interview if you don't want to get caught up in this thing. That's ridiculous and he should have had better sense than that.

Note that Donna blamed Obama for what Geffen said and said Obama should elevate the conversation.

Anyway, they both looked like they would rather be somewhere else, but they dutifully did their job.

1. Now there's a shock....
Carville and Brazile represent so much of what I don't like about the Party, the (Bill) Clintoncrats that still wield such a big influence.

10. I don't think so; based on some recent comments from her, I think....
....she's hoping Gore will get into the race and work for him.

6. If Carville had any class
He'd divorce his wife, marry Brazile, and move to Brazil.

9. She appears shifty eyed and he is a pure snake.
it struck me that he appears to be molting. I had the misfortune to watch the attack seem to turn on Obama. Later I saw a snippet on some news program , of Hilary playing the pure one, and chiding those who play "dirty politics".I am sick of this already, but Obama is looking better to me. He seems to be a real person. Hil has picked the wrong ones to be her front people.

18. I feel the same way, and that's one reason at this point I'm leaning towards Obama.
We need some new blood in the White House. Only thing about Obama running for President is he makes me feel old. If he's gets the nomination, this will be the first time that one of the Presidential candidates will be younger than me. OUCH LOL

20. It's a low blow, to be sure.
Obama should not have to stoop to fighting over who has the most billionaires in his/her pocket.

Especially since he doesn't seem to be sincerely upset about the principle of pimping out the Lincoln Bedroom, merely envious... unless he's criticizing David Geffen for his past support of the Clinton's... in which
case maybe he has balls of brass.

17. Is Schrum Working For Anyone?
Last night he was on MSNBC and was critical of Hillary and her minions bashing on both Geffen and Obama. This surprised me as I expected him to be in Hillary's pocket just like Carville and Brazille are.
