Once the jury verdicts are returned, things could move quickly re: Libby/pardons
Once the jury returns its verdicts on the various charges against Libby, if there are convictions, the optimum time may have arrived for Bush to issue pardons to everyone involved(just like his Dad did in Iran/Contra) since Fitzgerald has called out others at the White House as being involved in hiding the truth.

The question is whether there will be a fresh conflict and attack on Iran within the next 30 days, which would make Bush issuing these pardons like a Friday afternoon 'news dump.'

The carrier groups have arrived in range of Iran. Blair has been reported to have agreed to resign office by April. Blair is pulling out troops from Iraq. So the time for an attack on Iran has arrived as well if it is going to happen.

1. I have long been suspicious of the sabre-rattling dovetailing with the Libby trial.
H20Man has an excellent post on weighing the negative and positive benefits to bush on the issue of "to pardon or not to pardon." H20Man did not mention the increasing aggression with Iran, which of course any air strike will immediately obliterate news of Libby's guilty verdict (if it happens).

The blogosphere will be on fire with any news of an attack on Iran, as well.

Why is it that every ace bush hides up his sleeve involves violence?

See H20Man's summary, "beg pardon?" http://tinyurl.com/34qq67

2. When evid of Poppy Bush's involvement was about to come out, Iran/Contra pardons issued...
So now when the evidence is pointing to a clear coverup by Bush and his White House gang, it is time for Junior to follow his father's example, and pardon everyone who might have participated in any way --which will cover his own behind.

3. But as H20Man points out, widdle bush wants to distinguish himself from big bush.
bush is a creature of pathologies. Whatever pathology is currently ruling his state of mind, that's what he'll do. Which pathology is presently dominating that great vacuum of grey matter is anybody's guess.

As much as I have tried to follow this trial and study the characters involved, I have no idea, no clue at all what is about to ensue. :(
