"& whatever you voted for, you did not vote for failure". Damn straight we didn't.
bush: This is where matters stand tonight, in the here and now. I have spoken with many of you in person. I respect you and the arguments you've made. We went into this largely united, in our assumptions and in our convictions. And whatever you voted for, you did not vote for failure. Our country is pursuing a new strategy in Iraq, and I ask you to give it a chance to work. And I ask you to support our troops in the field, and those on their way. (Applause.)
--------------------

It's as if every word has an alternate, sinister meaning, an ironic meaning, a bizarre double meaning.

True, we did not vote for failure, or for bush, twice, he was placed there by the bosses. And we did not vote for this pre planned failure of a fake war, we did not vote to have our soldiers die in someone else's insane civil war.

And the words, 'whatever you voted for' sounds too much like an insult. Like, whatever you crazy, ungrateful traitors voted for, it wasn't for surrender to the terrorists, or some such blather.

Whatever the fuck we voted for last November bush, it sure wasn't for your failure of an ass.

2. To put it another way
All the ignorant trash "conservatives" in this country who voted for a republican for senator or congressman voted for failure. They wanted bush to have rubber stamps in the legislative branch. They want the failure to continue because they are too proud to say enough, stop now, we have failed for christ's sake stop. No, they can't do that because they are "conservatives." Therefore, the failure will continue and will become a greater failure an intense failure that we will suffer from for years because "conservatives" are too fucking proud to admit they are wrong.

4. Wow, I'm actually agreeing with the chimp here...
you're right you ignorant ass, we voted against your sorry-ass party, therefore, we didn't vote for failure. So fuck both you and your "new strategy". "We will show YOU the way".

5. I think this was an appeal to the macho, patriotic streak in the U.S.

Sinister, yes.
Dishonest, yes.
Holding on to some minutemen, etc., yes.

6. We didn't, but the USSC and Diebold did.
Bush mentioning "whatever you voted for" is kind of ironic or is he just zetzing us?

7. Nor did we fail to vote.
But many of the votes weren't counted. As a result, we have ended up with disastrous failures.
