Please stop posting variations on this unwinnable, flamebaiting argument:
"Candidate X's supporters are by and large the meanest, most vicious people on this site! And Candidate Y's supporters, with the exception of a few bad apples, are virtually blameless!"

With the amount of mud that's been slung around here over the last week, there is ABSOLUTELY no way to prove this. None. It's all objective, most of us are already biased, and all of us have seen at least ONE jaw-droppingly insulting thread from all of the major parties inolved. Nobody involved is without guilt by association anymore, if they ever were.

Moreover, threads like these are just invitations for more ugly mud-slinging--and many of the people who start them are known trolls who like nothing better than to put on an innocent face while they pile on more garbage.

I will delete the content of this post if it turns out the same way. But I'm absolutely serious that I hope it will stop.

1. Small, very vocal groups of supporters of most of the candidates...
are causing 95% of the issues.

2. I feel ya, but it won't stop.
Too many DUers are looking to happenings in politics to validate them personally. It's not even about policy ideas anymore, it could even be soft-drink preferences instead of candidates at this point.

5. I am very happy to say
that when it comes to mean and vicious DUers are rank amateurs compared to the trained haters, liars and manipulators of the conservative movement in America. We are not organized, we are democrats and I can't think that that is a bad thing.

15. Yeah-frikken right...
right now probably 60% of the board is no he didn't/yes she did, and somehow THAT leaves John Edwards in the morass of embarrassing bullshit? He's involved in race and gender card nonsense? And "equally guilty"???Good then-show me the ten posts today that show Edwards claiming superiority based on being a white guy or complaining because other people said so.

13. You're biased toward Candidate Y!
Candidate Y is racist, sexist, and alphabetist!

Candidate Y supports the war, the CIA, the USA-PATRIOT Act, and is on record supporting the Cylons over the Humans in Battlestar Galactica!

Candidate Y is the KKKorpr0ate KKKandidate!

Candidate Y was once seen talking to Dick Cheney! Candidate Y drives a Japanese car -- with Chinee parts!

Candidate Y believes in UFOs! Candidate Y supports the legalization of potrzebie!

Candidate Y is a wine drinker, not a beer drinker!

Candidate Y hates to lose! There is nothing Candidate Y won't do to win!

Candidate Y has suppressed the vote, has played the race card, the gender card, and the Jack of Diamonds! Candidate Y is known to talk in political code for "let's kill all the babies we can"!

Diebold supports Candidate Y!

Candidate Y eats meat! Candidate Y is a theoKKKrat! Candidate Y doesn't believe in God!

Vote for Unity, vote for Peace, vote for Love, for Mom and Apple Pie and cute little blond girls who are virgins until their wedding night.

Vote your conscience -- vote for Candidate X.

14. Let's just all get nekkid and get in a pile... until Novenmber, anyways
it would be much more interesting, to say the least..

Wouldn't it also be more fun if they just had pay-per-view "last man standing" matches to decide who the candidates will be?? How about cage matches or "over the top rope" battle royals??

:hi:

16. You have to realize that DUers will post what they want to post.
Makes requests don't work around here. I would like the O supporters to can the anti-Clinton garbage from right wing rags but we all know that won't happen.
