HUGE NEWS, Mitchell testifying before Congress on steroid use in sports
Waxman presiding

FLASH: Steroid use is harmful

FLASH: We must stop this illegal use, it is the highest priority of our nation

There have been rumors that "alleged people" who may have outed a covert CIA agent may have been on steroids
In addition, indications that those who voted for the IWR, patriot act, and Kyle/Lieberman amendment may have been under the influence of steroids

1. This might be an issue for someone, but I could care less about steroids in baseball.
There's probably steroids in football and every other sport. I just heard about entertainers using steroids.

If they want to mess up their bodies, that's on them.

3. Thank goodness Bush and Cheney aren't doing steroids.
Or, are they? Maybe that's the reason for all of the testosteroned filled killing sprees in Iraq. :dem:

5. Whether you care about sports or not, this is important because
it trickles down to high school age kids, who feel the pressure to take this stuff to succeed. These hearings will do some good.

It is sad that (Barry Bonds/Steroids) is the Justice department's prime investigation. How about investigating Halliburton giving contaminated water and food to our troops? How about investigating all the contracting corruption in the run up to the wars?

7. Yes, I don't disagree, but as you also pointed out, essentially nothing
is being done with blackwater, haliburton, etc

In addition, people from this administration refused to testify before Congress, and nothing was done about that either

10. I know this wont be real popular
But Imus was screaming about this, this morning. He wants to know why the VA is still a mess but we are wasting our time with this bullshit.

12. Why is this a Congressional issue?
Seems they should spend their time on more important items like war, economy, insurance, out-of-control-executive branch, environment, infrastructure, and on and on.
