They are FEDERAL officers....can be impeached, if they commit a crime or something like that, but not recalled by their states. And, he doesn't face reelection until 2012. Ain't life grand? Maybe he'll be hit by lightening on the golf course or something.

my understanding there are 21 Repunks up for re-election to the Senate in 08 - we're sure to pick up several of those seats and then FINALLY Joe LIEberman will be COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT no matter which party he caucuses with....he would be an absolute fool to screw with the Dems - with that many repunk seats up in 08 and the mood of this country self serving Joe would do much better to self serve himself on our side.....since sadly he didn't get his sorry ass kicked out of the Senate last year I'll have to be content to sit back and wait until his sorry self is of no importance to anyone.

Actually I was thinking if the SOB does switch parties maybe we should lobby the ladies from Maine to turn independent and caucus with us - since they voted with us on cloture last weekend.
