I just wish Cantwell was something other than a sycophant. I'll admit that I voted for Cantwell, but I had to hold my nose to do it.

2. Patty has traded in her tennis shoes for ass kickin' boots!

(Remember the "Mom in Tennis Shoes" campaign stuff when she first ran?).

When it comes to the military, though, you don't mess with Patty; she WILL kick your ass from here to Sunday, and now she has some power to add to her anger.

I'm going to call Cantwell's office and send her an email about this, and tell her she needs to get on board with this. I, too, held my nose to vote for her, but having done that, I do expect her to do her freakin' job.

3. Loved her "we're tying their hands" statement

Caught just the last coupla minutes, and her saying to Rachel - paraphrasing here - that there's been no accountability or oversight, that they didn't want their hands tied, but that it was over.
Investigations are beginning on Tuesday!

8. I love McDermott, Murry, but have little knowledge on Maria

I am keen on seeing the Depleted Uranium issue fully investigated and brought out into the public eye. It was senator Jim McDermott who brought that to my attention in a speech he gave prior to this nightmare in Iraq. I have been aware of his proposals to have Congressional investigations into this and how the repukes have blocked him. I am aware that his latest work here is making headway and he has been joined by Maria Cantwell.

Other than that I have no other knowledge about our Senator Cantwell. For me, I don't really care if it is Bugs Bunny who is helping Senator McDermott on this issue, whoever helps him has my support.
