But you cannot say that they were talking about excluding other candidates. That is one interpretation of many possible ones, and you cannot speculate one over the other.

|
Come on.
I wish Dennis was in the debate. I wish there were other voices as well.
But I don't think HRC and JE were conspiring to have DK removed from a debate.

23. The corporate media quite frequently leaves him out of their polls |
|
And there have only been two primaries. I am not comfortable allowing Iowa, New Hampshire and the corporate media make my decisions for me.
If they have nothing to fear from Kucinich, why must they pretend he doesn't exist in their polls, in their news coverage, in their debates??
The corporations give the candidates money, and then because certain candidates have money the corporate media will give them endless free coverage 24/7. Amazingly The corporate candidate wins! Do you like that system?

Kucinich Wins Debate Poll, ABC Covers Up Results
By Diane E. Dees at Mother Jones
Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich's supporters (and, according to his website, even some non-supporters) are demanding that ABC explain its actions of the last few days.
On Monday afternoon, Congressman Kucinich took a significant lead in the ABC online poll: Who won the Democratic debate? About the time that he took that lead, ABC removed the poll from its prominent position on the ABC website. Then a new poll suddenly went up, "Who is winning the Democratic debate?"
Those events could be seen as technical glitches, but there was more to come. Kucinich took the lead in the second poll, also, and that poll, too, was dropped. ABC also "forgot" to announce the results (Kucinich tied with Sen. Hillary Clinton as the winner), and news about the poll is nowhere to be seen on the ABC website. Kucinich was also cut out of a group photo of all the candidates in the debate.

|
If Internet polls were any indication of candidate support, Ron Paul would be the frontrunner for the GOP nomination. But he isn't.

He met the pre-established criteria for the debate.
Do you deny that?
They then changed the rules in the middle of the game, not telling anyone exactly what the new rules are.
How do you explain and defend that?

|
There is no prohibition on groups like MoveOn.org, Progressive Democrats of America, Code Pink, or even DU to hold their own debates.

you're for "sponsorship" of the presidentail elections? You'll defend that? You're okay with that?
What you're defending is precisely the problem. You just put up a defense of The Corporation as Individual the very thing that ails us.
What you are saying is The Corporate Media Complex decides for us plain and simple.

26. And the rest of the story |
|
Since you are obviously shilling for your candidate...Obama and Hillary got the majority of the time. Very little was heard from ANY of the other candidates. Edwards said that he supported smaller debates but wanted EVERYONE included. I supported that as well. There is nothing to be gained from having Obama and Hillary dominate every single fucking discussion. Perhaps Biden, Richardson, Dodd, Kucinich and Gravel could have ALL benefited from smaller debates--you know, ones that they could actually participate in?

Edwards will be the next one pushed off the island. And he'll have no right to whine - since he's been party to ensuring that other voices were kept out. The last thing he wants is for folks to figure out how much of DK's platform he pillaged for himself - no wonder he doesn't want the real thing sitting next to him on stage.
The Republicans stood up to Fox when they tried to exclude some of their candidates. It's really pathetic when the GOP are better Democrats than we are.
