It's times like these that are why I will not even consider a candidate who...
does not have universal health care on the table.

I have fantastic insurance and just paid $50 for 10 antibiotic pills. Getting rid of a wicked six week sinus infection? $105 total. So I shouldn't complain and I won't. Because goodness help the indigent and those with worse plans than mine.

Times like these remind me of how much worse it could be. I figured out that without insurance the total would have been four times that amount for an irritatingly stuffy nose.

Universal health care is a human rights issue. Nothing will ever convince me otherwise. Our country is a disgrace.

1. Our government no longer represents the people...
There was a discussion on CNN about the cloning issue tonight ~ how in Europe the people have been asked their opinion about purchasing meat from cloned animals, and how the U.S. no longer consults its people. Healthcare, safe food, clean water and air ~ we no longer have basic rights.

REVOLUTION TIME!

3. I recently bought 30 antibiotic pills (dicloxacillin) in Mexico for $5.67.
No insurance needed.

We are getting so ripped off on healthcare in the US.

5. my son has T1 Diabetes and I think of this all of the time
for now we are covered very well by insurance. What about all of the folks that do not have any? it costs 500.00 a month for his insulin alone! How many uninsured can afford that? it makes me sick and scared. :(
