Yes, We Hate Your President--Deal With It.
For eight years we watched vicious attacks on a first family that had done nothing but try to serve the American people and bring justice to the world. Sure, they weren't perfect, but who is?

But now, while we watch what is arguably the WORST President in the history of our country shit all over our Constitution, the Geneva Convention, and everything it means to be an American, the only thing you have to say is to call us Bush haters.

Well, no shit. We've been "misled" into war, participated in the slaughter of countless civilians, sent 2500 hundred of our soldiers to the Great Beyond, practically crippled our armed forces, discovered that our President considers himself above any act of Congress, and are now being spied upon IN OUR OWN FUCKING COUNTRY while all too many people shrug and say "so what?."

What's to hate?

You people make me sick. Every one of you Bush apologists is a hypocritical gasbag of monumental proportions. If a Democratic government did 1/10 of these things, you'd be up in arms. Hell, you'd be calling for mass assassinations.

All we want is his impeachment. Clinton lied about sexual indiscretions. Bush lies about EVERYTHING. Yet you seem to consider him above reproach.

What's wrong with you people cannot be fixed. Therapy would be like a bandaid placed over a knife-wound to the belly. We used to think you were simply deluded. Maybe a bit confused.

No, I think now that you're clinically insane. Too crazy to be allowed to vote. You'd vote for a rabid pitbull if he could be taught to speak like a human being. As long as he mouthed the right catch-phrases.

Sure, maybe Bush wouldn't be a bad guy to sit down and have a beer with. But YOU would be picking up the tab. Or maybe you could just defer it to your children and grandchildren. That's the gist of his economic policy, after all. Play now, pay later.

You call us traitors because we don't like Bush?

Fuck you. Look in the goddam mirror. EVERY principle on which this country was founded is but a hurdle for this asshole to jump. He has about as much respect for America as he did for the population of New Orleans when Katrina was bearing down on them. Which is is to say... NOT THE SLIGHTEST BIT.

"America...Love it or leave it." Remember when that was thrown in the faces of those who dared to stand up to oppressive government in the past? We do. You know what? We know who REALLY hates America and all she stands for. YOU PEOPLE. Every last one of you who still think Bush walks on water and turns water into wine. Why don't YOU just get the hell on a boat and get the fuck out of our country?

We don't want you. We don't need you. And we're sick and tired of listening to your stupid excuses.

We don't care where you go. Just go somewhere where you can't fuck up our country anymore. And take your dumbass President with you. We'll even throw you a going-away party.

Bon Voyage, you stupid bastards. Write when you find work.

excessive. He cannot understand how someone can be filled with such hate toward our "president".

How in the hell can they cut this fucking asshole so much slack? How can the veterans on my vets' board still support this piece of shit?

I have a desk calender that is a "Countdown to Bush's Last Day in Office." My father-in-law was looking at it the other day and made a comment about how I "put on a show about how much I hate Bush." My wife looked at him and said, "Dad, it's not a show. He despises Bush."

Great post and rant, BTW!

I stopped even pretending to respect GWB after reading it. He fucks up everything he touches then walks away on rose petals spread by his daddy's "friends." I have no doubt he'll leave office with America crumbling around him and end up sitting on several boards of directors doing no work and making tons of money. It's the story of his charmed life.

125. I wish I'd been that smart
I bought the "he's just like his daddy!" bullshit. It wasn't until he'd been in office a couple of months and started declaring everything "top secret" that I became deeply suspicious of him. It was when he went after Iraq before finishing in Afghanistan that I knew he didn't care about our country, even less about its people. From that moment forward, I've loathed the sight and sound of him.

this man(if I can call him that) has never ever had to struggle in his whole life. We have all read Dr. Justin Franks assessment on this arrogant and ignorant frat boy, we have a very big problem and he has taken our moral standards to an all time low, but there are many who must leave with him, especially all those PNAC'ers, and Richard "Dick" Cheney, who has been organizing this takeover for a very long time. They all need to be held accountable for their unspeakable criminal actions.

They are our "domestic enemies" and they need to be indicted and impeached

We need to keep pushing and push back hard.

21. Why ...
"Why don't YOU just get the hell on a boat and get the fuck out of our country?"

I agree. It's frustrating that they're not even going to show any remorse for what they've done to rational political conversations. I find it incredible that they are impervious to what's going on around them. They won't leave, they'll continue to put their W04 stickers in your face and praise the actions of lawbreakers as if winning were all that mattered. Not what's right but who is in charge.

How does a country make 30% of their citizens realize they need to be ashamed of themselves and their behavior? It will never go away as long as things like warmongering William Kristol getting a column at the NYT can happen in the midst of even the Republican majority disliking their leader and his actions.

We need to wipe out some ignorance and I am convinced that changing the mode of information (the media) is an important step in achieving this. Someone posted this petition on a thread recently
http://action.freepress.net/campaign/sbmopenletter - I think that's an excellent first step.

65. Is your sister-in-law's name Virgina? Here's my response to the same letter.
Edited on Thu Jan-17-08 04:52 PM by screembloodymurder
Dear Virgina,

"Australian Prime Minister John Howard has suffered a humiliating
election defeat and the opposition Labor Party has swept into power."

As you can see by the above newspaper headline, John Howard is no longer the Prime Minister of Australia. He was soundly defeated in the latest election. Perhaps Australians recognize bigotry for what it is.... intolerance, prejudice and hatred.... hardly the values taught by Christ.

Yes Virgina, it takes more than a proclamation and an hour-a-week to be a good Christian.

The United States of America was founded as a secular nation. The clear intent of our founding fathers was that the people not be bound by the laws of any specific religion. There are those that would change the Constitution and substitute the ten commandments for the Bill of Rights, but I am not prepared to give up the freedoms so many real Americans have fought and died to preserve.

Yes Virgina, it takes more than a yellow ribbon and a flag to be a good Patriot.

You see Virgina, my wife's sister's family is Muslim and I can assure you they are not terrorists. They have feelings, like you and me; they pray to God, like you and me and they love their country, like you and me.

No one before him can be said to have acted in such a way as to make people believe that his goals included totally destroying this country, if not the entire planet.

41. What has happened in Iraq is Hiroshima in slow motion.
Conservatively 200,000 dead and 2 million refugees. While there is an argument about the necessity of Hiroshima (and lets simply agree there is an argument about the necessity and not replay the argument) there is no argument about the necessity of a premptive strike on Iraq. We had it tied up with no fly zones we had inspectors there even if there were interuptions.

If America were asked would it be OK to invade Iraq where there is No WMD and the total cost was going to be the same as Hiroshima there would be less than 5% of the population that would have agreed.

An unnecessary Hiroshima albeit done in slow motion is an absolutely hateful thing and the architects all of them should be publically shunned and yes hated. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Rice, Wolfowitz, Bolton, have all robbed us of part of our humanity.

They were hung for Treason.

losers fretting about what will happen if a democrat wins in November. Can you imagine...can you imagine being so deluded as to believe there could be anything worse than lying to get us into an illegal and immoral war? Standing down while 9/11 occurred? Secret energy deals...torture...wiretapping...lies and more lies...Gon-fucking-zales...Heck of a job Brownie...I mean GODDAMN!!

How has the brainwashing been so effective? How can this be happening? Stupid, ignorant people...STUPID FUCKING IGNORANT PEOPLE! I am ashamed to be an American...a shame that may never heal after 8 years of this shit. At least we hope it stops at 8...my gut tells me a republican is gonna steal the presidency again and continue the sacking of America.

84. Impeachment tells the world we're sorry,
execution for treason and crimes against humanity says we mean it.

I challenge anyone to tell me why this statement is over the line.

Unfortunately the upcoming elections probably won't fix any of our real problems, none of the "viable" candidates are for accountability or against the "Patriot" Act or Iraq occupation for that matter.

It'll take the people standing up together to get our country back, but with 50% of the population borderline retarded it'll be a long hard struggle.
On the bright side, when Chimpy McSmirk tries to escape, maybe the international community will make an example out of him and give our future wanabe dictators some second thoughts.

Yes, I despise this pResident.

98. This is not the aura of a "compassionate conservative."
Reading people deeper, with aura reading and face reading, is
my touchstone for truth when dealing with the craziness of
politics.

If that sounds pie-in-sky, let me be specific. Here’s a
dramatic example of the difference between presidential
campaign promises and reality. Back when George W. Bush first
campaigned for national office, he was widely considered a
charmer. Reading his aura, I found him to be an alarmer, not a
charmer.

At the time, I read him for a reporter with a major national
newspaper. The gist was this. “According to his aura, he’s so
damaged, he can barely think. As for leadership ability, the
principal of your nearest elementary school has more
leadership ability than Mr. George W. Bush.”

I believed that Bush raised money so well not because of his
leadership, but for his inner and outer credentials as a
puppet.

How did the reporter respond? She was shocked. Here are the
words as I recall them. “You found that just from reading his
aura? I have to tell you, recently I interviewed him
one-on-one. From all I’d heard, Bush was absolutely charming.
Supposedly, he was a strong leader. Well, when I talked to
him, it was completely different. It felt as though nobody was
there, nobody home inside. You’re the first person I’ve talked
to who seems to have noticed.”

COMPASSIONATE? WHY?

Aura reading will tell you much. Face reading brings clues to
character that are even easier to read.

Remember how Bush promised to rule as a “compassionate
conservative”? I wrote an article for a gorgeous glossy
magazine, The World & I. Here is the portion of the
article where I compared Bush’s specific facial strengths to
his over-arching campaign promise. (I wound up comparing his
face data to that of some fellow campaigner. To read the
details, please click on this link

110. What a wonderful talent you have.
How many muscles are in the face? What parts of the brain govern and interpret the expression of that musculature? What does body language tell us? How about Pheromones?

The basis of your ability is rooted in the mundane, but the ability to extrapolate based on so many wonderful connections in the mind is nothing short of miraculous.

Most people could train themselves to interpret these impressions with a great deal of accuracy, unfortunately most people haven't the foggiest.

Thanks for your $.02, it's gold.

Welcome to DU.

I'm the moron who couldn't comprehend the OP, not because I do not know how to read english, but because my beliefs make many of the words invisible to me. I'm the poor dupe who fundamentally disagrees with anything anti-Bush, even though I will not lift a finger to work my way through the tissue-thin layer of veneer that keeps me ignorant of his treachery. I am the word of ignorance, washed away by the heatlamp of insight, whose only trace is an outline drawn in the thread by the posts and responses surrounding my hollow corpse.

I am somewhere in th OP, if you read it again, even though I don't know how or where.

Now I'm looking for work in another thread.
