The price of heating fuel where I Live is $3.53 per gal for #1 heating fuel |
|
I have a thousand gallon tank that Never ever ever gets under five hundred gallons. Last time I filled up I took 460 gallons and my bill was over $1600. This stimulus check I get if I even get one will not even buy me 300 gallons of heating fuel and they think I am going to rush out and spend spend spend... It will help to keep me warmer for a few months though...I guess that is something...Hardly an economic stimuli though...

Of what releasing some of that unprecedented amount of oil that sits in Louisiana and Texas salt caverns(The Strategic Oil Reserve) would do, if it was targeted for heating oil distillation?
Of course, that will never happen, as that reserve is administered and controlled by The Koch Brothers, one of whom is married to Doro Bush.

10. Spend as much as you can on INSULATION and new windows. |

And maybe just reconsider home size (I have no idea how many sf you have - just something people in this situation need to think about).
Unka Dick lied his head off when he disparaged conservation of energy as merely "virtuous".
