Forum proposal: Understanding the influence of marketing in today's world

We, the people, suffer under a barrage of 'advertisement' messages that are part of a larger (unspoken) social-engineering program that attempts to tell/teach us how to think ~ what is important.

We, the people, need an outlet that let's us examine and LEARN how to accept/reject the messages that are sent to us daily/hourly, in fact.

We need to dissect (and understand) today's marketing techniques so that we don't fall prey to messages that go against 'out best interests'.

Hope y'all understand my message/meaning.....I'm not a very good writer.
