Iraqis: "America is the biggest producer of terror"
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 08:23 AM by leftchick

I agree 100%. The candidates who want to leave 50,000 or so US troops in Iraq for protecting "our vital national security interests", and to "fight the terrorists" are being disingenuous to say the least. We need to get them ALL out now ......

IRAQ: 'US the Biggest Producer of Terror'
By Ahmed Ali and Dahr Jamail*

http://ipsnews.net/news.asp?idnews=40924

<snip>

The anti-U.S. sentiment in Baquba is now so high that people no longer hide their distrust of the U.S.

"At the beginning of the occupation, the people of Iraq did not realise the U.S. strategy in the area," Abu Taiseer, a member of the communist party in the city told IPS. "Their strategy is based on destruction and massacre. They do anything to have their agenda fulfilled.

"Now, Iraqis know that behind the U.S. smile is hatred and violence," Taiseer added. "They call others violent and terrorists, but what they are doing in Iraq and in other countries is the origin and essence of terror. America is the biggest producer of terror, and they spend huge funds for creating and training death squads all over the world."

Despite the differing U.S. ways of dealing with Shias and Sunnis, the two sects seem one in their hatred of the U.S.

"Look at our country, it will need 30 years to get back again," Edan Barham told IPS. "This has nothing to do with sects; all of us are Iraqis, and we should think of Iraq in a better way than sectarian lines."

"People of Iraq of all sects now realise that it is the occupation represented by the Americans that has damaged the country," resident Khalil Ibrahim said.

Political analyst Azhar al-Teengane says the only Iraqis who support the occupation are those benefiting directly from it.

7. the fixers don't care
mr pig enjoys the harmless asserting of such banana peels o truth...'tis the price o being free' they chuckle among themselves. Question: if truth is so intrusive it is warded off, like zombies were warded off in old Transylvania using fresh strings of garlic, then how does one convince people that the zombies are really just in fairy tales?
It's impossible....for example, most people think WMD's were hid all over Iraq
(mr pig is so effective in covering up his tracks, though his feet still in them, that the stock market 'rebound' can be attributed to "ordinary market correctionial activity working despite popular media-fed misconceptions that something's wrong" not 24 hours after the US federal reserve says it will cover uber bank losses at the same time as their media reports that the fed cut a few interest rate points thus causing the said 'rebound' etc)
...is it possible our society is so utterly corrupted that it dies of it's poisoning(?)
and btw who cares anyway...go bush junyer!

4. Abu Taiseer, a member of the communist party
What would he know about Capitalism, what would he know about helping the less fortunate? What would he know about privatization. You know thats what they'll say about him, He wants to spread Communism
See Iraq is like Viet Nam we must stop the red menace.

Your phrase, "We need to get them ALL out now", can be taken in two different ways....get the troops out of Iraq or get the empire builders out of Washington?

I don't care if the people who did that to me were now handing out free turkeys and hundred dollar bills they would never be my friend.

First impressions are important.
