Just want to reiterate: REAL TEXANS do not talk like Bush.
I know no one in the Great State of Texas who speaks in such a way. Those of you who have spoken to me on the phone know that I, a native Texan, do not speak like that. Nor do many of the many other DUers who were born and raised in the Lone Star State.

Indeed, if Bush were a first-grade student in a public school in Texas, his parents would receive an immediate referral to speach therapy.

That is all.

:)

6. It's pure affectation
Daddy Bush doesn't speak like that

Barb doesn't speak like that

Jeb doesn't speak like that

The whole Texas accent/ mispronouncing & butchering sentences is a show he puts on to seem like "one of the guys you'd like to have a beer with"

15. Me neither.
I come from a long line of cattle ranchers and farmers, and I've never heard anyone make reference to "clearing brush."

Cut trees? Check. Clean the fenceline? Check.

Clear brush? Never heard it until Bush.
