I thought the same thing. Maybe, having the non-rebuttal rebuttal, they just wanted to forget the guy and move on (even though I'd be down for a good ol' impeachment).

One sound byte from CNN and the MSM about how she will be endorsing Obama in the coming days and is looking to a VP spot, and there are ALREADY folks thinking she'll be Obama's veep pick. Don't you get how the MSM manipulates this stuff? There is no WAY an uninspiring unknown governor will be picked for his veep.

39. Unknown?
She's very well-known in most of the middle part of the US. She pulled off a win in Kansas when everything around her was a deep shade of red. She's well-liked for the most part in this area and any candidate smart enough to get her involved in their campaigns will be lucky. In these parts when Kathleen talks people do perk up and listen.

I wish she were my governor, instead of that loser Matt Blunt.

I'm actually from Missouri. She's discussed throughout this area and I've heard others from Iowa, Nebraska and Arkansas along with Oklahoma talk about here.

These areas are well-known Republican holds. To have someone like Sebelius speak will get some of the voters interested.

25. Governor of a very red state
Who knows? It could at the very least cause the Republicans to have to spend a lot of money they don't really have just to hang on to Kansas. It might also lend the party some credibility in Kansas, and help raise their profile, lending some heart to a state party that's been pretty badly neglected for a while.

58. Oh yeah, those 6 whopping electoral votes (trending downward) is going to make all the
difference.

Constantly appealing to the LCD (lowest common denominator, just in case) only results in ever diminishing expectations until eventually we could end up with an illiterate moran in the White House, oh... wait a minute... shit...

If there is a God, please free the rest of us from the idiots in Jesusland.

42. Well, there you go....
Just from looking at all the posts, with the exception of a few, you now can clearly see why the Democratic Party loses rural America.

In case all of you brilliant political strategists haven't noticed, she just picked up a lot of support from Republicans who are sick of the shit that has wrecked this country. Without that, you only get more of nitpicking and obstruction to the direction the Democratic Party wants to take the country.

All of you bitch about how stupid Red States are, but you need those to get what you want. Someone makes the effort to change that, handing you what you want, and you ridicule her for it. Now I know it looks so much more prestigious to jump on a desk and call a little piece of shit a lying SOB, piss & moan about the last 7 years, and sling a bunch of cursing directed at Chimpy. You just might consider that everyone knows that by now, and they are looking for politicians to actually get something done, instead of fighting all the time. She was not speaking about what is going to happen tomorrow, because we all know Chimp isn't going to do shit to work with Democrats, she was setting the stage for the Chimp's exit with a new Demcratic majority leading the way.

Just being a Dem in a red state does not confer you with some sort of super-duper political prowess. More often, it's a case of blandness, compromise and triangulation. See Nelson, Ben, former Gov of Nebraska and my current Senator.

53. Shooting ourselves in the foot with complaining
One of the problems that Democrats and liberals have had for years has been always seeing the dark side; what's wrong with someone or something and banding together to fight against ideas instead of standing up for ideas.

Go ahead and criticize me for writing this. I don't care.

This thread has made me angry. Instead of complaining about how boring she was, why hasn't any of this thread been about the substance or tenor of her rebuke?

I found her calm manner to be refreshing. And I was pleased that she appealed to a higher vision of non-partisan politics.

You, who are reading this, who may be Obama backers, must see that he is appealing to the same higher cause. He is by far the better speaker, that much is obvious. But the bottom line is that most Americans are sick to death of partisan politics, infighting and just plain ol' impoliteness.

If the Dems are to win in November, inclusiveness will be a big reason. So, let's stop our bickering and whining!
