Lieberman Rules Out Running With McCain

By ANDREW MIGA, Associated Press Writer

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

(01-29) 15:44 PST WASHINGTON, (AP) --

Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent who nearly won the
vice presidency as a Democrat in 2000, says there's no
way he'll be Republican Sen. John McCain's running
mate should McCain become the party's presidential
nominee.

"No, I'd tell him, 'Thanks, John, I've been there, I've
done that. You can find much better,'" Lieberman told
The Associated Press during an interview Tuesday in his
Senate office. "I'm not seeking anything else."

The Connecticut senator said he was unequivocally ruling
out sharing the GOP ticket with McCain.

Lieberman's endorsement of McCain in December and the
campaigning he since has done in states such as New
Hampshire, Michigan, South Carolina and Florida have
stoked speculation that the Arizona senator might
choose Lieberman as his running mate.

1. Somebody mentioned on Hartmann's show yesterday that Bloomberg is a possibility with McCain
McCain/Bloomberg would be BIG trouble, IMO

5. I don't see Bloomberg in the veep spot.
He likes running things, being in charge, etc. And is he going to spend his personal fortune just to give some other guy the top billing?

8. Given McCains age and general health, well let's just hope
the douchebag really means it. The last thing anybody needs is a president Loserman and there's pretty good odds of that occurring.

12. "you can find much better" - wow, truer words Joementum never spoke
I guess Joementum is SERIES about wanting McCAIN to win, or he *would* run with him. I'm still seething over his "debate" performance with (not to say "against") CHEENEE.

I wish he had said those words to GORE.

13. Aw, too bad
He could have been the first in history to help torpedo presidential candidacies in both parties.
