CNN, Fox call Florida for McCain; Giuliani handed decisive defeatMichael Roston
Published: Tuesday January 29, 2008

With more than 50% of Florida's GOP vote counted, both CNN and Fox News have called the Florida primary for Arizona Senator John McCain over former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The race remained too close to call, but did offer a final repudiation of the "victory through Florida" strategy of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was in a distant third place, consistent with poll predictions.

1. News Hour, Robert Siegel calls McCain the "front-runner" now, albeit hesitantly.

2. I don't think there's any question that McCain is the front runner
Plus, the media loves him. It will be hard for Romney to overtake him.

So much for that.

And Ron Paul at 3%. If my candidate doesn't have a chance at president, at least I can take small satisfaction in watching the more obviously batshit insane GOPiggies bite the dust in their bid for glory.
