3. Too much cloud cover in Orlando to watch it :-(. It is still truly an amazing sight to watch... |

I can't wait for Constellation and the next phase in space exploration to start. Its going to be a great adventure if the funding for it is able to be continued...

10. They have the best Pre-Launch coverage, but I always have to watch Jay Barbree on MSNBC... |
|
The man is a legend and probably the only reporter that can compare to Walter Cronkite in space coverage.

I was in Kindergarten when Challenger disintegrated right in front of my eyes and I always worry until the SRB's are ditched.

12. Good Seperation from the External Fuel Tank.. Well on her way to the ISS, speaking of the EFT |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 02:56 PM by ReformedChris
I still remember the plans they had to use the EFT as a "Wet Workshop" space station, but it never really panned out. That EFT as a space station would have dwarfed Skylab and ISS in size

Travel well and safe Atlantis. We still get so excited about launches even after after 35 years of watching them.
