It was a poor choice of words, but not really a big deal.

2. Yeah, that seems to be the way it works...

everybody's got their knives out waiting for the one false step that let's them cut a hero (or anyone else, for that matter) down into shit.

You have to be 100% pure, not necessarily on every issue, but the one issue that they're interested in today or you're toast.

A lot of people are being turned to toast.
