So where are all these psycho mass shooters getting their guns?

The NIU shooting was done in one of the most restrictive gun states in the nation (come to think of it, so was the Lane Bryant shooting). Anyway, the NIU shooter used a shotgun, readily available at any walmart.

No guns are sold at the DeKalb, IL WalMart. In Illinois you can go to jail for possession of a single bullet without a current Firearms Owner Identification Card which must be renewed every 5 years at your expense.

4. NIU shooting - bet like Virginia Tech bought legally

at a gun shop or sporting goods store. Ammo same thing. You can also buy ammo mail order.

Most guns involved in shootings are acquired legally by the shooter, or via a straw purchase(which is one area that really needs to be cracked down on), or stolen.

Ammo anyone can buy in any quantity in most locales. Like liquor only thing that happens is you're carded. If you want to buy mail order and it's allowed to be shipped to your location, you just provide via fax a copy of your id like a drivers license. They take your word that you're the actual purchaser.
