Anyone listening to Cordesman on WJ this morning
Apparently none of the deaths, disease, water dislocation or refugees created by the invasion and occupation have anything to do with Bushco.

Lancet is of course discredited - all facts and figures are meaningless to these oil hungry war criminals.

5. Anthony Cordesman
From Wikipedia:

Professor Anthony H. Cordesman is the holder of the Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He is currently a National Security Analyst for ABC News. His analysis has been featured prominently during the Gulf War, Desert Fox, the conflict in Kosovo, the fighting in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War. While he is widely seen providing a no-nonsense and nonpartisan perspective on international security and US defense issues, he has been a harsh critic of the Bush Administration's policies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Professor Cordesman formerly served as National Security Assistant to Senator John McCain of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Cordesman's work has been called "prolific," but "imprecise," and he has been accused of presenting "opinions... as fact, " of "sloppiness with sources and citations," and of producing books that read "like a notebook with facts and figures cut-and-pasted, then poorly integrated into the narrative."

In his book "Iraqi Security Forces: A Strategy for Success," Cortesman "reproduces practically verbatim and without citation several paragraphs of an article" published by Michael Rubin in 2005.

7. Someone Really Nailed Him
It went too quick for me to pick up the name to google...maybe someone else saw it and can link some info.

A caller hit this warmonger on the his think tank's position on destabilizing the middle east, just like other chickenshithawk "think tanks". Cordesman got really pissed...so pissed, there must be a reason...

8. That caller confused two similar acronyms but how surprising it that
destabilizing the Middle East is big business and the competition is vigorous. Cordesman's reasoned response was to call the caller a fruitcake.

9. Why Is Our Oil Under Their Sand...
I was reading about Lawrence of Arabia and the British expeditions in the Middle East...including Iraq, during WWI, it's amazing how the objectives then and now are the same. Oil, control and profit.

I find these "experts" like Cordesman to be appologists for war crimes and their "knowledge" has been debunked and led to the disaster we're facing now.

Cheers...

10. Oh, yeah! They certainly are. They're co-conspirators.
It's amazing. They help develop a crime plan, pitch it and then spin the results. Very efficient, aren't they?

They all look vaguely professorial. They pass as academics on BookTv but they're just vampires in sheepskin.

You know what we should do, KharmaTrain? We should help Paul Thompson at the History Commons to put together a timeline for these guys. I bet once you start looking, there's a TON of stuff that can be put together to out these fakes.

:)

12. No Mention He Worked For McCain
I think a family tree/timeline would be a great idea. So many of these vermin show up on talk shows and in newspaper and magazine articles as "experts" with little investigation of their background. What's frustrating is so much of this stuff is widely available as most of these goons spent the better part of the 90's putting out "position papers" that turned into PNAC.

Like some people get "turned on" by a uniform, the corporate media gets all gushy when you have a military rank or title like Dr....damn it sure sounds and looks good. There's no need to check his record or agenda here...he's an "expert" and they even pay him just to pretend they have some "insider"...instead, as we both know, he's purely a propagandist intent on spinning...usually debunking things he and his ilk previously said.

You know when the "who lost Iraq" debate begins, this goon will sit in his Ivory Tower blame us dirty fuckin' hippies for everything.

And how nice of C-SPAN not to mention his ties to McCain.

13. And solar power "far too expensive and complicated".
And as long as that's as far as people pursue it, that will continue to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
