A GOP civil war?...
http://www.newsandcurrents.com/blog/2008/02/a-gop-civil-war.html

Here's the text of the Huckabee email to his supporters:
(snip)
Remember the Republican nominee must have 1,191 votes to claim the nomination or else there will be a brokered convention where the Party's top candidates will have an opportunity to make an impassioned plea as to why they are the best choice to represent the Republican Party in the fall against the Democrat candidate.

Before we get to a brokered convention however we will need to win Texas and seize the momentum. For this to happen however, we must have your immediate financial support. We are laying it all on the field in Texas and we need you to join us.

please oh please oh please oh please pick the Huckanut GOP!!!!

3. The campaign of a narcissist.
There's no reason for him to stay in the race. It's just ridiculous.

7. Nah, they wont pick the Huckster
Wish they would though. Still, I gotta say with two solid Dems in the running and watching the "conservative base" endure a nightmare scenario has made this one of the most fun primaries of all time. Right wing talk radio is going insane and I think Ann Coulter might actually explode.

8. Its mathematicaly impossible for Huck to win the GOP nomination
McCain is only 60 delegates shy of clinching.

Now he is only defrauding his supporters by demanding more money for a doomed campaign.

11. Exactly!
It is ridiculous that Huck still calls himself a contender when he is 80 points behind Romney who isn't even running anymore. The good news is it will do to the Republicans what usually happens to the Dems.

9. Like there's not a war here?
But, if you go to that Freeper site, they urge you to vote for anyone but McCain.

10. Yeah but come on, this is a message board
its what we do. Some people I'm sure are taking it serious but once the primaries are over things will gel for most people.

On the otherhand, the conservatives are really in turmoil. Glenn Beck was on CNN this afternoon calling the GOP primary a "nightmare scenario."
