Your government is shutting down its economic indicators website. |

http://economicindicators.gov/So, it's gotten so bad for our government financially that they have to shut down this one particular website? How muthafuckin' convenient! 1. It would be hilariously ironic... |

...if it wasn't so sick. On the other hand, what better indicator of our economic situation is there than the Federal Government not having enough cash to pay the salaries of one editor and one web designer? Pathetic.

9. It had nothing to do with money, of course. |

But it was a pathetic action, because the only thing they can do is to lie, deny and censor. If they cared one whit about cutting costs there are a zillion things they could have done. Bring one soldier home a month early and the cut the combat pay bonus by that amount. It probably cost them more to erase that site than to keep it running.

6. I sent the link to hubby (Stanford MBA) |

We're busy packing our kid for his Costa Rica field trip now, but he'll look at it later tonight or tomm. morning.
He asked me to send it to him (!). He is still somewhat of a 'true believer' but I have cut serious 'inroads to reality' and he is 'getting it' more day by day.

One weeks's worth of Halliburtion payouts in Iraq and Afghanistan would probably pay for this department for a year.
Kicking so more folks can see this.
