Deputy arrested in wheelchair dump video

A deputy who was videotaped dumping a paralyzed man out of his wheelchair onto a Tampa jailhouse floor turned herself in.

Jail records show Charlette Marshall-Jones was booked into the Orient Road Jail early Saturday morning.

It is the same jail where Marshall-Jones worked. She is accused of tipping 32-year-old Brian Sterner out of his wheelchair. A videotape of the incident has been widely circulated.

The Hillsborough County deputy was charged with one count of felony abuse of a disabled person and released after posting $3,500 bail. An attorney for Marshall-Jones listed in jail records did not immediately return a phone message.

I usually roll my eyes and say to myself "here we go again...", but I actually kinda agree with you on this one. American white cops are (I know there are a few exceptions - very few) the most despicable cretins on the face of this beautiful earth. A white cop abusing a minority is the norm.

I wish I could be on the jury, but I know they wouldn't pick me, as I've already made up my mind on the matter. Tipping him out of the wheelchair was abuse, and then frisking him was assault, I think, since he was powerless to stop her and she could have done him grave bodily harm. Hope she is convicted in the criminal case and then he goes on to sue her in civil court.
