The body of a blind man with epilepsy who was missing for more than a week was found in a wooded area across from his home Saturday afternoon, his relatives said.

Family members Saturday expressed concern that more was not done by police to find Dudley.
“This is crazy because this is a person who suffers from epilepsy and is blind, and the police did not do anything,” Ali Dudley said. “They didn’t come out to the apartment. They didn’t search the area. … It wasn’t a priority for them.”
Lockhart said police classified Lucius Dudley as a missing person who was endangered. Lockhart said that beyond alerting the public and the police force, which was done in Dudley’s case, the police do not routinely search a missing adult’s home and nearby areas. He said he didn’t know whether police searched for Dudley.
Generally, “we believe the family has done some kind of search of the apartment or the area around,” before they ask for police help, Lockhart said.
