Nader has evolved into the Harold Stassen of today |
|
For those who don't know Harold Stassen he was once a prominent GOP Governor who seriously ran for president in 1948--and lost the nomination. So he tried again...1952, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976...until he was a punchline in a joke. He kept running and he became more and more irrelevant and wound up only getting a few scattered votes.
When Nader ran again in 2004 he got far fewer votes than he did in 2000 and he will do much worse this year.

outside of their perennial presidential runs. LaRouche has always been a meaningless fringe nuisance.

6. Stassen isn't a good comparison |
|
Stassen was seeking the GOP nomination from 1948 until he died in his eighties.
Nader is a perennial candidate for disaffected leftists. So he's more like the Eugene V. Debs or Norman Thomas or our times.
