The Siegelman Case, a Political Prosecution Exposed
Source: Harper's magazine; alternet.com

The articles stand as excellent summaries of this case. They also explain the general history of the Bush admin's politicization, and corruption, of the Justice Department.

Siegelman, the former Democratic Governor of Alabama, is completely innocent, yet he was sentenced to 7 years in jail. Why? The Bush admin could not beat him fair & square, so they had to ruin him with false accusations- that ended up with him in jail.

Now that I have looked into this story, I am outraged. You can read all about it on www.donsiegelman.org.

His unjust imprisonment is just one example of the Bush admin's corruption involving the politicization of the Justice Department. Rove & Co. did the same thing to others in Texas, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and other places.

It is up to us, the public, to demand justice. We can make a difference, but there does not seem to be any emphasis on the Siegelman case.

In case you want to learn about the whole Siegelman story, here are two links with excellent articles that summarize the case; both articles are very well done:

1. I'm sorry to say,but I don't think anything will happen for Siegelman
will have his case reviewed or be released until Dems win back the WH and replace AG and bring the rule of law back to the DOJ. The deck is stacked against him till then.
