I just got a letter from Don Siegelman

After following Lala's excellent work on Mr. Siegelman's predicament - I decided to drop him a line.

Just a few lines of support on a blank card. I just received a handwritten Thank You from him.

I don't know why I am so shocked, but I am. So, as a Thank You to him for that, I wrote an email to Rep. Conyers on his behalf.

3. I just got a letter from Don Siegelman, Too!!!! I was just gonna post

and you beat me to it! :hi:
He sent me a copy of the New York Times editorial "Time to Vote Contempt" and wrote me notes all around the edges. So sweet it made me wanna cry. I used to do prison visitation so I'm not shocked to get a letter 'cuz I know how much folks in prison appreciate visits and letters from outside.
Still, I was deeply touched by Gov Siegelman's very friendly, considered response to my birthday card and note. He is a true patriot! :patriot:

5. Yeah! I actually addressed a card but hadn't sent it yet.

I wanted to print out a picture to include. I am on break this next week so I'll get that done. Gov. Siegelman is such a good and decent man.
