<<<POSSIBLE SPOILER>>>
Anybody read this? It reads like a bunch of propaganda clap-trap. Based on a true story, the graphic novel focuses on a group of lions that escape the Baghdad zoo during Bush's Shock & Awe rain of terror. Although it doesn't call it that in the book. The group wanders around a bombed out city and then is shot by U.S. troops. Going from a life behind bars, the zoo(Saddam's Iraq) to the freedom of wandering the streets(provided by Bush?). The message being that they lived for a while in freedom. The lions are a metaphor for Iraqi citizens. Collateral damage. Opsie-daisy. Anybody else, care to weigh in? I may be off but I think that it's written apologetically to the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
