"It's not Bush's fault - it's the Democrats in Congress."
I visited a few sports sites to check up on March Madness. When you go to their GD forums, the repukes are blaming the Democratic Congress.... "The economy was fantastic until the dem communists and terrorists took control of Congress"............."Our President has done a marvelous job. It's not his fault the demo-rats destroyed our economy."

Insanity: Voting for repukes over and over again and expecting different results.

4. Fools. Their idiocy in electing dimwit and his entourage of cabbage heads twice
...is to blame, pure and simple.

Republicans ALWAYS screw our economy, to make money for themselves and their business friends. The Great Depression was on Coolidge and Hoover, same reasons. This time they've managed to downright destroy it.

I swear, if anyone dares pronounce to my face that the Dems alone are responsible for this, they'll get at least a broken nose for their trouble.

5. We need to work hard
Read 'the authoritarians' by bob altemeyer or 'conservatives without conscience' by John Dean.

Authoritarians (who tend to be right wing and conservative) literally do not use logic as much as non-authoritarians when they are making decisions. They are dogmatic, hostile, misinformed, irrational and don't use common sense or logic. And sadly they make up 20-30% of the public.

I urge anyone who thinks I am lying or exaggerating to read Altemeyer's book (available free on his website), esp chapter 3. Altemeyer is a world leader in the psychology of authoritarianism (a huge subject after the Nazis rose to power)

http://members.shaw.ca/jeanaltemeyer/drbob/chapter3.pdf

So no matter how bad the GOP screws over america, how incompetent they are or how dangerous they are, 20-30% of the public will always vote for them (these are the same people who believe in creationism but reject global warming, just to give you a perspective on their thinking processes). We have to work hard to make sure they can't consistenly gain more than 48% of the vote by building the progressive base and GOTV drives.
