MSNBC Moves Countdown Repeat To 10PM EST
Hadn't seen this posted here at all. I read it at the Dave Matthews Band message board, of all places.

Can anybody confirm, and when it goes into effect?

3. Found DU Link From Last Week

Looks like they're adding an additional repeat at 7 PST, and moving the other late repeat to 11PM PST.

6. Tonight (all times EDT) ...
4:00 PM MSNBC News Live
5:00 PM Hardball With Chris Matthews
6:00 PM Race for the White House With David Gregory
7:00 PM Hardball With Chris Matthews
8:00 PM Countdown With Keith Olbermann
9:00 PM Verdict With Dan Abrams
10:00 PM Countdown With Keith Olbermann
11:00 PM Lockup: Raw
12:00 AM Lockup: San Quentin

It would appear that their higher-rated shows are Hardball and Countdown ... and they're milking the ratings.

Sandwiching David Gregory and Dan Abrams looks to be part of that ploy.

7. No one was watching it against Stewart. They're trying to boost his total viewership
which is falling off of late. He's skewing a bit excessively to the fickle "youth demographic" and his core support, which includes a lot of middle aged ladies, are being "turned off" and are starting to no longer regard his program as "must see tv."

In short, he's jumped the shark.

At least that's what a friend of mine who works at NBC suggested. Who knows if it's a correct assessment....

9. Keith

Olbermann will now be going head to head with O'Reilly for both shows, the first one at 7:00pm central time, and the re-run at 10pm central time.

O'Reilly also has both of his shows at the same time, 7pm and 10pm central time.

I don't really watch Stewart or Colbert at 10pm and 10:30pm, I watch the midnight and 12:30 re-runs, or watch the re-runs the next day.

15. Countdown wasn't against Stewart - at least in Eastern
Countdown aired at midnight. Stewart at 11PM. This is great for me cause now I can watch Countdown at 10 then switch to Stewart. At least at 8PM Countdown's ratings are still going strong. Oh and they shoot for the key demo ratings which is under 54! That's what advertisers look for. TVNewser is a great site to catch this info. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/

I'm usually putting the kids to bed at 7:30-8:00 CST and hate staying up until midnight to see all the hoobah! ;)

I finally get to see Hardball and Countdown at decent times. Enough with that prison crap, MSNBC is better than that.

16. Well.........

Here in Illinois (on comcast cable) Jon Stewart comes on at 10pm cst on ch-42. That is his time, and it's never changed, Colbert comes on at 10:30pm cst on ch-42.

The Olbermann re-run used to come on here at 11pm cst. Now it's gonna be on at 10pm cst.

Which is the same time O'Reilly's re-run is on, 10pm cst. So now Keith will be going head to head with O'Reilly at 7pm cst, and 10pm cst.

So here we could always watch Stewart at 10pm and then Colbert at 10:30pm, then watch the Olbermann re-run at 11pm. Now the Olbermann re-run is going to be on at the same time as Stewart and Colbert is on.

But Stewart and colbert do re-runs at 12am and 12:30 am, so I can watch it then, or watch them the next day when they re-run them again.
