Five years. Five FUCKING YEARS, people. Five years of war and death, and slaughter of
innocents, including BABIES. Little tiny girls and boys, who never did a Godalmighty thing wrong to ANYONE. Murdered in their hundreds, indeed in their thousands.

And for what? for nothing.

Five fucking years.

And what's our response, we caring DUers? We call the supporters of the candidate who we do not favor all manner of vile names, and argue the most idiotically obscure "talking points" to death.

When REAL death is happening in Iraq.

For nothing.

One word, before I go: Perspective. That word means, among other things, remembering what's important.

1. Perspective.
The Lost Sense.

Nah, it's a fuck of a lot easier to pick up a rock and chunk it at whatever is closest to you that last pissed you off.

Perspective...

What a concept.

Hopefully, I will see you later in the week.

That's my plan, anyway.

Got my guitar, too.

11. Oh, Christ. You're going to make me get mine out and dust it off, aren't you? Be prepared
to be disappointed; I really have not played the damn thing for ten years.

15. No, man....
You can play the spoons and sing backup.

Until it's your turn to sing lead.

I'll pour.

Because Life is Like a Mountain Railway.

Hell, man, we'll fake it if we have to.

We gotta pull this off, Redstone.

Realign some shit.

I'm looking forward to it.

4. Not that there aren't people upset....
But I was watching the local news the other day of a war protest at a recruiting center in Tacoma. And it turns out that the pro-war protesters overwhelmed with anti-war protestors. So unfortunately there are still many brainwashed freeps.

12. Peace, indeed. That's a concept that's almost as lost as perspective is, these days.
But we can't stop trying, can we?

7. As of this writing the count of American troop losses is nine short of FOUR THOUSAND.
I hope that gets some press attention. Somehow while mccain's been hobknobbing over there, nobody in the press has thought it fit to mention that the same open-air market he strolled through with his huge coterie of guards, hovering gunships, snipers on every rooftop, and completely trussed up like a turkey with a heavy flak jacket - is not safe to walk through this time around. He's been told not to go back there because it's not safe.

Don't think all of us have forgotten that, Redstone. We haven't.

That's the tears and agony of nearly four thousand moms, widows, and in some cases widowers, and surviving children. EVERY ONE of those deaths has some mom crying. As a mom myself, I can't get past that.

But it's nice that we get to obsess about some nutcase firebrand with priest robes. But then again, many of us do like our bombast. What did St. Paul call them? "Noisy gongs and clanging cymbals"?

Damn, the idea is to get used to perpetual war so you don't even think about it. I suggest you start forgetting now!

22. Forgeting is NOT the issue.........
remembering is.

Why should we forget about the people who live in this war torn country?

More pics and more coverage by the M$M would help, but to tell us to forget............ is something the Bushies et al, would say.

Keep in mind this has been going on much longer than 5 years.

Even before the sanctions, long before, from the Clinton years in which an estimated 500,000 + children and 1.5 million total paid the price there has been a colonial slaughter occurring in what we now call Iraq.

It's easy to just blame the Bush junta but that ignores a long history.

In the meantime we should of course put Cheney in and Bushie in chains.
