The war started on my 25th birthday. I turn 30 today.
I've experienced more days with us at war in Iraq than I've experienced Mondays.

They say we're not even half way done?

They say we're in for another 99 years?

7. Ok, technically, yes, it was the 19th
But the 17th was the evening of Bush's "ultimatum" speech, so it was only a matter of time (in fact, just a few hours) before the war officially started.

And thanks for the birthday wishes. :-)

I feel for you. When Vietnam finally petered-out, I could barely remember a time when it wasn't happening.

20. We became involved militarily in Vietnam three years before I was born
and finally brought our troops home when I was 22. The Vietnam War literally lasted throughout my entire childhood. Among my strongest childhood memories is watching the news every night and seeing scenes of our troops fighting in Vietnam. Every night.

This country thrives on war. Five years is nothing.

And if we get McFuckhead elected, it will probably last until he's 18, at which time we'll be moving.
