Fuck the economy.
Fuck the environment.
Fuck health care.
When we stop sending our kids half way around the world to die and kill innocent people, then we can talk about that stuff.
I've been an advocate for all those other things for years, but for me is a "one issue" election. It's about ending an unjust war. The Iraqis want us out and we should leave. Too many people have died for a lie and they continue to die every day.
5 years. 4,000 American soldiers. hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians.
FOR ME,
IT'S THE WAR, STUPID.
END OF STORY.

2. Agreed, But the War Drives the Other Stuff |
|
The economy, in particular, is the victim (1) of war spending; and (2) Pubbie laissez-faire.
We'll have a lot to clean up at 1:00 p.m. on January 20, 2009.

You're right. But with a family I gotta provide health insurance for, a kid with asthma and a wife with MS -- the economy and health care count too.
And just think how much we could do to help all that stuff with TWELVE BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH!
From your lips to God's ears, Mate.

5. But will we clean it up? |
|
Are any of the candidates advocating getting out of Iraq right away, no horsing around with it?
I also haven't noticed any of them talking about the dire economic conditions and what they intend to do about it. But I stopped listening a while ago and only pay passing attention to what they say now.
I have little confidence much of anything will change for the better no matter who's elected.

I think it may take a Depression to get most Americans to realize what a mistake it was.

7. The only way to stop it is to elect a new Congress |
|
All three candidates will continue the bullshit. Only Obama even sounds like he might end the war eventually, but he continues to support funding it, continues the same rhetoric like we are helping the Iraqis by staying.
We need to elect a new Congress that will stop passing bills that fund this illegal immoral war. That is the only way.
