Lots of anti-war protests in DC today
Apparently tons are planned. Got caught up at 17th & L streets this morning, apparently a group of people chained themselves together in the middle of the street. They must have gotten sprayed with foam or water (that was before I got there) because there was a huge wet spot in the middle of the intersection. They had L street blocked off at Connecticut and nobody could get through, not even pedestrians. Lots of Code Pink protesters there, and some people on stilts. I got a few pics of the people on stilts on my cell phone camera, but I have to wait until tonight to upload them. There were tons of police there too. They finally opened things up again, and I ended up walking with Code Pink up L street, they were on the way to Vermont and L. Not sure why they didn't stop at 15th and L since that is where the Post is.

Anyway, the police beat them up L street with their sirens going. It was an interesting walk though. I told them that they do good work. Many of them had "Wake Up America" signs, I told them I was already awake and very aware, mentioned DU to them too. I'm also sort of wondering if I got caught on video anywhere, several people were taking video of them walking up L Street when I was talking to them. If they did, I hope they chop me out, mostly because I hate seeing myself on film. Anyway, that has been my morning so far.

1. Just saw a marching band go by my window...
it's a little too "carnival-like" for me.

3. It was a bit carnaval like, especially with the stilt walkers
I wouldn't call the noise a band, more like music makers and drummers to hold a beat.

8. Roving bands of people going down K Street...
cops aren't doing much of anything as long as they don't block traffic for too long.

Rock band playing in McPherson Square.

It's all very peaceful so far.

13. anger will increase if it starts affecting people's lives.
well people are being thrown out of their houses, what next??? What will be the tipping point for Americans?? that response of

"so" from cheney did it for me.

There is such disdain from this regime towards the American people, I find his arrogance so revolting and insulting.
