1. It's OK if you're Bill O'Reilly?
A variation, I would guess, on the old It's OK If You're A Republican.

2. Arrrrrgh! Everyone has their mental giants, I think?

Such as mental images of happy times. MOving on, happy feet.....and Elmo's song. 'C' is for cookies. Sung by the cookie monster. (Oscar)

4. Ack, I just realized "BO" might be referring to Obama
I wouldn't expect to see it here, though; the use of "BO" or "BHO" is one of those things I consider a tip-off of incipient freeperism.

5. I only use "BHO" in contexts where I also use "HRC" as shorthand

7. See it as a sign of laziness and bad typing skills
Why is it a smear?

I use HRC as well. If I can use a shortcut, why not? I type with 1 finger. What makes it worse is that I'm a programmer, but on the bright side it's forced me to use mactos.

10. and yet MANY here use the letters HRC and are not called freepers
or hint at *incipient freeperism*.

Perhaps one might point out the obvious hypocrisy of this line of thought? But that would lead us back to the original OP question --

It's OK if you're Barack Obama. Whoever is using the letters might want to include "And his Supporters too" the end of it. :eyes:

11. Just my opinion, I don't use HRC either
It goes back to that stupid Fox half hour news hour show. They did a bit on a fictional "BO" magazine, and I sort of felt it got picked up by his detractors, who would then add the H to snidely point to "Hussein".

12. uh-oh.. I am not a freep (by any stretch) and I use HRC & BHO
It's laziness on my part, but lots of presidents have usually been referred to by their initials..all three of them..jfk, lbj, ghwb(okay.he's special and has an extra)..his idiot son only needs one.."w"..

13. LOL I concede! It's not a sign of freeperism!
I have a perfectly good explanation for my prejudice a couple posts up :)

FDR, JFK, etc., I always viewed as a term of affection for these beloved presidents, and I always felt that BHO and HRC were used in an ironic fashion. Not to mention, as a tech guy, when I see BHO, I think "Browser Helper Object", which is one of my pet peeves (think Google Toolbar for IE, and various not-so-benigh imitators).

14. It means someone was to fuggin' lazy to type words that people could recognize
Just think of it as an insult to those of us who still use language and then move on.
