MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) -- (03/20/08)--Workers at a major auto parts supplier are approaching day 24 on the picket lines.
Thursday night, United Auto Workers Union President Ron Gettelfinger says negotiations between American Axle are going nowhere.
As both sides work to hash out a deal, the ripple effects of the strike continue to trickle down.
Thousands of people are out of a job as a result of this strike. The situation has already forced General Motors Corp. to close many of its plants.
