GOP drops candidate over Jewish remarks
The Indiana Republican Party asked a man who hinted that Jews were pushing for war with Iran not to file as its candidate for Indianapolis mayor.

The Republican Jewish Coalition commended the party’s reaction to Bob Parker’s statements in a Feb. 22 interview, in which he said, “I personally see Israel going into Iran and Syria in the next couple of months... It’s mainly because of the Jewish faction inside the Democratic Party. Most Jewish people are Democrats, and they bring that wealth. My opinion is, if Israel would go into Iran, Democrats will follow that cause.”

The following day, Parker was asked not to file as a mayoral candidate.

6. Dems congresscritters Supported Israel going into Lebanon-----even Russ
Fiengold put out a statement saying Israel had a right to protect itself.

I am not saying Dems would do this again as it is a vastly different situation, yet, It does make me wonder.

12. GOPer is saying Dem party is controlled by Zionists and will push for war with Iran if elected-seems
not far from the level of the usual GOP smears.

4. Perhaps.
I doubt they would replace him with one that hates blacks, at least one that does so openly...that would be a big no-no. However, one that hates gays, s/he'd get a pass.

7. Israel The Government Is Undoubtedly Pushing
and in cahoots with the terrorists (the Bush administration) but this guy is definitely anti-semitic and trying to fool those of us that can tell the difference into being so too. Unfortunately for him, realists are not easily fooled.

9. This guy should be booted for stupid
Truely I do not see Jewish Dems helping fund an Israeli attack on Iran. Not at least if they have any love for Israel and the US, to do this now would be very expensive to all parties involved, Iran is a bit stronger than Iraq was in 1981. The results of this could be the beginning of regional warfare.

10. From the link: Parker suggests Jewish wealth has undue influence on politics and foreign policy.
That's horrible. How 1933 can you get? :grr:

And then to suggest that it's the Democrats who are spoiling for a fight? That's right out of the old fascist's playbook...

15. Meet the current GOP in Indiana
Lugar is a hold over from an earlier GOP era. But the folks who often run for office as GOP - are often NUTS as well as WAY conservative.

19. Current? Look Back 100 Years...
This was the state the Klan ran in the 20s. Lugar is the exception...this is the state of Disco Danny Burton and Mike Pence...and those are "the moderates".

17. Both parties seem to have a love/hate relationship with AIPAC
It seems only reasonable to acknowledge reality, AIPAC is probably the most effective and feared lobbying group in DC and the fact of the matter is they are Jewish and unrelentingly Zionist.

And the Republics have the Rapture Ready types pushing them to do anything to help Israel bring on Armegeddon.

as opposed to behind closed doors like the rest of them.

Indiana Republican gatherings are creepy in that way. There are a lot of "they aren't like us" and the like being thrown around. My district elected a state rep. who believes in flogging and appears to be a part of the Christian Identity movement. He beat a man in the primary who, piggybacking on something Salin pointed out above, was by most accounts a Lugar Republican. Instead we've got a man who thinks he's there to "protect marriage" from the gays, God and guns from the liberals, and the (white?) poor from the "evil" government.
