OK, so I'm sitting outside on the porch while my dogs play on a glorious day. I take the opportunity to finally open up my April 2008 Vanity Fair and start reading This was in the LTE's and the Vanity Fair response to the letter cracked me up:
I always take pleasure in reading the Proust Questionnaire, but the introduction to Karl Rove's answers, where he is described as "a principal architect of the disastrous presidency of George W. Bush," seemed a bit over the top. Bush obviously has his detractors; however, to characterize is presidency as disastrous without giving better context is unfair. Douglas Johnson Rockford, Illinois
