Why in the h*ll is there ALWAYS a video commercial to every

2. Not surprising

We're being marketed to all the time, everywhere. It's become so pervasive and insidious that it often doesn't even register with us. This is just another (very annoying) manifestation of the trend.

6. i got rid of my tv

now i get my commercials at the supermarket, on the computer, at the bank...insidious indeed. pisses me off, too

9. And at the airport and sporting events

and gas stations and movies and every time you check out at any big chain store. You always get the pitch for the credit/rewards/frequent buyer's card for that store, and not only is it an annoyance for you, but it slows down checkout incredibly when they make the same pitch to EVERYONE in line. And it never ceases to amaze me how many places just brazenly ask for the phone number of anyone who buys something, and it amazes me even more how many people just meekly comply because they don't know how to tell them it's nothing of their f**king business.

3. The sad thing is

it doesn't work (on me, at least).

All that advertising money wasted and I ignore their pitiful attempts at persuasion.
