"Government is not God"
Government is not God is new right wing lobbying group that has been in the news recently.

http://www.govnotgod.org

Their whole purpose seems to be to keep John McCain from choosing Romney as his VP because he is a mormon. They call themselves "Government is not God," but they seem to want to turn the government into God. They want to tell you who you can and can't marry, what sexual acts you can do in private, whether can use birth control or abortion, whether you can look at porn, etc... The name "government is not God" makes it sound like a secular organization, one that I could agree with it. But their name seems to be a complete lie, and this seems to a pattern for right wingers: The Clear Skies act, The Patriot Act, Operation Iraqi freedom, and now "government is not God"

It seems like for every right wing program, they have to give it a title that sounds reasonable and is exactly the opposite of what their program stands for. Do right wingers feel they need to be deceptive in order to get the public to agree with them?

PS: They have a contact link on their webpage so be sure and tell them what you think of them. Be nice :)
