4. That poor baby! First the injury in the car bomb attack, and now THIS!
To be that close to such an evil woman. The memory of the car bomb will diminish over the years, but the evil touch of that woman will haunt them until the day they die.

Go home, Karen. You big horse(ass).

5. Aren't you proud of yourself, Karen?
Those injuries are your fault. Yours and every other supporter of the war. Hope you are pleased.

13. Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs
I think this could be considered under her current position. But the Bush Administration has people freely moving about doing many things outside the proscribed mandate and aegis of their elected or selected position.

19. Just keep her out of Egypt
Edited on Thu Mar-01-07 05:11 PM by onager
I've been here nearly 2 years, and anti-Americanism always ratchets way up when Bigfoot comes galumphing around the Middle East.

She's probably crossed Egypt off her visiting list, anyway. The last time she dropped by Cairo, a group of female Egyptian journalists red-assed her mercilessly. In public.

Photos in the local Egyptian press caught Hughes with that gawping "how dare you!" look on her face, as the Egyptian women dared to question her lame canned speech about truth, democracy and the War On Terriers.

Hughes really lost her audience when she went into a tirade about the importance of obeying your local intelligence services.

Either she had a bad translator, or she was totally oblivious to local culture. I'm betting on the second option.

Over here, "intellgence services" does not conjure up images of James Bond. It translates as: "people who knock down your door in the middle of the night and disappear your relatives."

Even my Egyptian co-workers joke turning me over to the Intelligence Services, using exactly that term.

At least I HOPE they're joking.
