7. No problem. Read "Spring Forward: The Annual Madness of DST" by Michael Downing. |
|
Great book! I'll be talking with the author this week for rebroadcast later.

I'll check it out. We're already happy around here since it's staying light out till 6 P.M. or so on the Front Range.

10. I assume that your husband does not work in IT |
|
or for the airline industry?
We are scrambling to get patches loaded for the change. Most major software vendors are just now coming out with patches.
We are still testing to see if the patches we need even work. Today, I got a patch for a patch from one company.
This has proven worse the Y2K in some aspects.

12. As long as they're running at least Panther (and you've applied the patch), sure |
|
I have a few aged G3 servers still running Rhapsody that there will be no patches for. I'm going to have to stay up late and set the time manually on those (and then again on the day that DST would 'normally' come into effect).

14. Consider it job security! |
|
Btw, my husband worked on the hardware side before he retired several years ago. That had it's own nightmares, as you're aware. He got started in the bad old days of 300 pound drives in '80s. But he retired maintaining the state's water measurement telecommunications devices here in Colorado.
Hang in there! :hi:

to encourage more shopping after the work day is done. There are no noble intentions behind its creation.

17. I remember several years ago there was a letter in the San Diego Union |
|
and a quote from that letter was in regard to the change to Daylight Savings Time: "They're fooling with our God given time" (the they this woman was talking about was of course The Communists who were the boogie man of that day & age). I always pictured God handing down to Moses an alarm clock.
