I think the Libby jury is trying to get a 3 day weekend |
|
He is so obviously guilty. I appreciate their dedication to their duty and to deliberate complete and accurately but c'mon already! How hard can it be?
I was whining to my hubby last night about how impatient I am getting. Some of us actually watched all of these events IN REAL TIME back in July of 2003 and we have been waiting since then. I was only a viewer of the famous "Plame threads" so I can only imagine how the researchers feel now.
Not only is Scooter guilty of the charges but the trial made it clear that this is just the tip of the iceberg of the cabal's crimes. I am lookibg forward to a verdict in this case but I am also holding out hope for more indictments. I can't imagine the Patrick Fitzgerald that has been revealed to be content to let them get away with it all. It offends him personally to see such disdain for truth and the rule of law. Someone so brilliant must know all the "dots" that connect it all. It's not like he hasn't dealt with criminal enterprises before- Al Qaida and the Gambinos ring a bell? I think Cheney has met his match. I want this trial to end so more can begin.
Just a girl with a dream who is constantly checking the news for a verdict and going crazy! If they came up with a verdict now they'd have to go to work tomorrow, wait until the morning and they give themselves a rest. Am I too cynical or is this possible?

2. I don't trust that looney jury... |
|
Valentine's day outfits, etc... I know the jury system is the best of all systems, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have parts that just plain suck. For example, and this will be agreed upon here, most Americans just don't have the critical thinking skills to be a competent member of a jury - they just don't. Seriously - how many of your co-workers or collegiate peers would make competent jury members - I bet none over 25-30% unless you're lucky enough to be surrounded only by intelligent people.

It only takes one juror and we all know that facts can be overwhelmed by prejudice, emotion and 'faith based' folks...
I'm concerned. I hope I'm wrong

4. more than one Ph.D on the jury |
|
they probably analyze every exhibit and all the testimony over and over again. This jury may be too smart for its own good (or for Fitzgerald's good).

7. Well I thought I was anxious before |

I may be sick if it's a mistrial. Why the convo in chambers at this point? Any lawyers here to give us an idea if we should be encouraged by this or not?
