McCains VP choice will be George "macaca" Allen.
Quietly, but still out there is good old Senator Macaca, he spoke on the anniversary of VT shooting last week and also this little talk at a republican gathering.

"Former Virginia governor praises McCain at Washington county GOP event."

When asked if he would accept a VP slot, he said he would do anything he could to help the nominee. A simple yes would sound too desperate I guess.
I think he will be the choice, remember the righties loved him before his macaca moment took him down. They will try to use that issue to their benefit, framing it as being overblown, a cultural thing from George's past, not a prejudicial thing, this will help keep race at the forefront as a topic in the general election, which the repugs will try to do, distracting the MSM and the electorate from the real issues.

So any chance we get, we need to point out his bigotry to keep this guy out of public disservice and where he belongs, political oblivion.

1. McCain's judgment is of the hyper-pandering sort and certainly desperate
enough to choose someone as horrifying as Cement-Head Allen for the veep slot.

Hardly anything the GOP does generally these days surprises me, and each incident is more horrifying than the one before it.

Your criticism of Allen, IMO, is exactly right and entirely appropriate.

In a party of famously bad public servants, George Allen is one of the exceptionally horrifying ones.

4. Dan Quayle made any selection possible.
A precedent that in no small way started the acceptance of incompetence that now runs rampant in our government.

5. Very good point. It's hard to find a less qualified public servant than
Dan Quayle, although if McCain were to pick Allen, a case could be made...

7. Allen has been incompetent at many levels, they will push his....
gubernatorial executive experience and he was on foreign relations committee along with the energy and natural resource committee. He also introduced a constitutional amendment to balance the budget. This slime has potential.

2. If it is Allen
the "latent racism in our nation" that he represents will be one of the main reasons he is the VP choice.

8. That would be awesome for us
a guy who essentially lost his spot because of his racism. It would be great to run that guy against Obama. Maybe seeing himself up against a black man would induce another slip up.
